H&F Climate Cafe - Adaptation (London Climate Action Week 2024)
During London Climate Action Week 2024, H&F hosted a Climate and Ecology Cafe with Atkins Realis consultants on the climate risks facing the borough and the adaptation work that we will be undertaking to protect ourselves from the impacts of flooding, heat and drought.
Urban areas like H&F will be impacted more by these changes, because our populations are larger and denser than in rural areas and our road and building surfaces absorb and trap heat and are often impermeable. We also have less green space.
The impacts will include higher levels of heat stress and heat-related mortality, more transport network closures, power cuts, and higher repair bills.

Why drumming down higher prices and bans on their people when there is nothing the UK can do about 'climate change' without countries like Russia, China or US onboard. Japan alone is planning to build 22 new coal-burning power plants. Coal is a abundant and reliable source of energy.
This is ridiculous, nobody cares about the environment
Its not “public money”. Heathrow is a private company....
Extra polution in h&f due to westfield and development alike. We dont want to swap our health for wealth. Have we no say? Secure a brighter future for my children. Dont promote polution and gentrification.
I thought traders shared similar views it was good for ner market hopefully it will encourage more traders and customers to use market. I think its a positive step in right direction to bring community together
